Art and design has been my passion from a child, and finding out I could develop a career in an Art Department, I knew this was the choice for me!  As I grew older, my interest expanded into appreciating the craftsmanship behind the camera in films and tv shows and always questioned how production designers  developed their designs. I have always nurtured the idea of working with props, set dressing, as I love the practical processes involved in creating illusions which make a set believable to the audience.
I have had over a year's worth of experience working part time at Celtic Prop Hire, where I have been able to meet many members of the art department including, art directors, designers, petty cash buyers and set decorators when they have come in to hire props. I have also been able to gain some hands-on experience repairing and making props, which I would love to pursue further in the future.

Work Experience
Other than my experience at Celtic prop hire, I have had experience in a short film called Angelina by Inga Burrows. Through this, I was able to explore making graphics for film alongside learning about continuity and accuracy with set dressing.
I have also had more hands-on experience on short USW films such as Liminal and Beyond Human. On both films I was able to get stuck into a range of intricate prop making, set building and decoration. It has made me develop a range of skills along the way such as airbrush painting and floor tiling.
