Having adored cinema and film for so many years, but not knowing just where I could fit into the myriad of talented people who make up the vast crews responsible for creating film, it took me till my thirties to find this course.
Having a varied background, from kitchen fitting, machining, bicycle mechanics (a big hobby of mine) and a ‘grand design’ family Gite renovation in Brittany, to years of bar work, customer service and even IT support, it has been a journey. But with each experience I have of the industry there seems to be something in my past which seemed superfluous at the time but great help now.
Now, I feel I have purpose and a direction, and all I want is to pursue a career in the art department for TV & Film. I want to design and make for a living and I am excited to take on new challenges with each job. I have always loved learning how to do things and how things worked, and I am sure this journey will continue that passion onward for many years to come.
