I have always been in awe of a films ability to create an entirely new world and transport its viewers to it. It all started when my dad sat me down to watch the ‘The fellowship of the Ring’ at probably too young of an age. Within just a few hours I had made new friends, conquered enemies and travelled unfamiliar horizons, the newly forged world pausing only to swap the DVD to watch the second half of the film. Since then, I knew that I wanted to be a part of building up these worlds. This course allowed me to do just that, teaching me the many skills needed to design and build sets. I have learned both old and new methods of drawing and model making, expanded my knowledge of creative process and have been fortunate enough to bring several sets to life on student films. I am always eager to expand my knowledge and am excited to become hands on within the industry.
